Sajid Rashid is a noted writer and journalist and editor of the quarterly Urdu magazine Nayaa Waraq. A liberal Muslim intellectual and activist, he writes columns for the Mumbai-based Hindi evening newspaper Mahanagar and also for the Pakistani publication Akhbaar-e Jahaan.
