The first of three exhibitions presented as part of the City of Albuquerque's Tricentennial celebration, El Alma de España focuses on the work of Spanish Masters from sixteenth to early nineteenth-century Spain. Included are portraiture, still life, and religious and allegorical themes, many dating from the Golden Age of Spain. Essays by scholars of the time period bring a fresh perspective to these works of art.
