Autorenporträt
Francisco Díaz Valladares colabora con el proyecto de fomento a la lectura 'El placer de leer' de la Diputación de Sevilla y en el Circuito Andaluz de las Letras Infantil y Juvenil de la Junta de Andalucía. Ha sido director del Aula de Letras Gabriel Baldrich, director del grupo de teatro Barlovento, colaborador en programas de debates en radio y televisión, miembro del jurado del Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil y del Premio de Literatura Alandar (Editorial Edelvives). Ha estado cinco años en la Embajada de España en Ammán y un año realizando cursos de electrónica en EE.UU. Ha dedicado gran parte de su vida a viajar por el mundo, circunstancia que le ha permitido estar en contacto con distintas culturas y convertir sus experiencias en fuente de inspiración para algunas de sus obras. Entre narrativa infantil, juvenil y narrativa para adultos cuenta con más de 30 obras publicadas. Y ha obtenido, entre otros reconocimientos: el Premio Edebé de Novela Juvenil, el Alandar de Edelvives, el CCEI y el Frei Martín Sarmiento en lengua gallega.
