Alice Rawsthorn es una galardonada crí tica de diseñ o y escritora, cuya columna semanal en el The New York Times se ha distribuido a otros medios de todo el mundo, que llevan má s de una dé cada publicá ndola. De 2014 a 2017 escribió tambié n la columna " By Design" para la revista frieze. Entre sus anteriores libros publicados está el aclamado por la crí tica Hello World: Where Design Meets Life. Rawsthorn, nacida en Má nchester y residente en Londres, da charlas en eventos internacionales como los TED y la reunió n anual del Foro Econó mico Mundial en Davos. Preside la junta directiva de las galerí as Chisenhale Gallery de Londres y The Hepworth Wakefield de Yorkshire. Es cofundadora de la campañ a Writers at Liberty, que aboga por los derechos humanos, y le otorgaron la Orden del Imperio Britá nico (OBE) por sus servicios en el diseñ o y las artes.
