Autorenporträt
La carrera literaria de Ibon Martín (Donostia, 1976) no empezó en la novela sino en la literatura de viajes. Enamorado del paisaje y la geografía vasca, recorrió durante años todas las sendas de Euskadi y, poco después de terminar sus estudios de periodismo, puso en marcha un proyecto personal en el que recogió más de trescientas rutas que reunió en diversas guías. Sus itinerarios no se limitaban a contar la belleza natural de una hermosa tierra sino que en sus textos latía el deseo de devolver a la vida los vestigios históricos y mitológicos que sus pasos descubrían. El nacimiento de su primera novela, El valle sin nombre, se produjo de manera natural como modo de mantener ese cordón umbilical con sus raíces. Tras ella llegó la serie de cuatro libros inspirados por el thriller nórdico «Los crímenes del faro', compuesta por las novelas El faro del silencio, La fábrica de las sombras, El último akelarre y La jaula de sal, que se convirtieron en un éxito rotundo.
