Francisco Lorenzo nació en Santiago de Compostela (Galicia) en 1986. Licenciado en Publicidad y RR. PP., se ha sentido siempre motivado por crear historias. En 2021, de la mano de la editorial de juegos de mesa Doit Games, salieron al mercado tres aventuras de «IQFiles', un escape room narrativo de mesa creado por él que ya ha sido licenciado por otras editoriales en países como Francia. Sin embargo, su forma preferida de contar historias siempre ha sido la novela. El manipulador es su debut, donde despliega un uso magistral del misterio y del suspense, presentando su tierra natal, Galicia, como telón de fondo y consagrando a su personaje principal, Yoel Garza, como uno de los personajes más originales del thriller español de los últimos años.
