Michael J. Ivkov was born in Manhattan in 1997. He attended St. Bernard's School and Trinity School. He became interested in birds in the middle school under the guidance of Peter Joost. He still lives in New York City and vacations in Central Park. If you look carefully enough, you can spot Michael in the North Woods almost every week.
