Blas Carlos Malo Poyatos is a civil engineer and passionate about history, especially the Byzantine Empire and the Middle Ages, to which he has dedicated conferences, presentations, articles, and literary routes. He has participated in historical recreation activities and was director of the Granada Historical Novel Conference. The Venetian is his fifth published novel.
