Autorenporträt
Dr. Jennifer Gordon is a psychologist and play therapist specialized in children's development and mental health. Jennifer was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She completed her master's and doctoral degrees in School and Clinical Child Psychology in Edmonton, Alberta. In her practice, Jennifer often uses storybooks as teaching tools to help children better understand common struggles, such as worry, in relatable ways. The children and families she works with inspired her to write this book. Jennifer's ultimate goal is to teach and empower children by fostering resiliency, positive coping, and social-emotional skills. Outside of her clinical practice, Jennifer spends her time with her family. Her young son has kept her well versed in children's literature, as reading is one of his favourite activities.
