Nowadays, life has become longer and there are many prejudices and stereotypes regarding the elderly. Among other aspects, it is difficult for them to restructure their identity, they suffer discrimination, violence, social marginalization, ingratitude and difficulties due to scarce economic resources. This work includes two papers, one on the right to personal identity and the other on the right to work. In the first one, among other topics, the concept of person in the legal world and the right to legal personality, the dignity of the elderly and the charismas of old age are highlighted. It considers the most personal rights, and among them, the right to personal identity. Reference is made to the gender perspective and the reasons why it is not shared. In the second part, the main international recommendations and principles regarding the right to work of the elderly are mentioned and psychological harassment at work (mobbing) is analyzed. This book is of interest to lawyers, sociologists, human resources and policy specialists and the general public.
