RAYMOND HOLDEN is a conductor, writer, broadcaster and lecturer. Since 2016 he has been Professor of Public Engagement at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2019 he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for services to music. SIR MARK ELDER is one of Britain's leading conductors. Since 2000 he has been Music Director of the Hallé, with which he has made many award-winning recordings. He is Principal Artist of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and was previously Principal Guest Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. He had an outstanding tenure as Music Director of English National Opera and has a long association with the Royal Opera House, Metropolitan Opera, Opéra de Paris and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Sir Mark was appointed a Companionof Honour in 2017.
