The major drawbacks faced by the automobile manufacturers and government is the hurdle of battery life and setting up of charging stations. The proposed work discusses with the concept of electric vehicle with regenerative system to maximize the battery life. It involves development of electric bicycle with regenerative system which charges the battery when the vehicle moves using the generator coupled to the front wheel of electric vehicle. It also involves smart hybrid intermittent triggering system to save the battery life, which monitors the state of the electric vehicle as well as its inertia and silently switches of the motor at regular intervals thereby saving the battery life or maximizing the battery life. Additionally the electric vehicle is made smart by implementation of cloud connect, a feature to monitor the health and other parameters of the electric vehicle and send it to the cloud based application. This will help analyze the e-bike well in advance before breakdown and reduce the breakdown maintenance time. In addition it can also help notify the concerned authorities automatically in case of emergency such as accidents using inbuilt GPS.
