The present study with the title "Electrical conductivity, Dielectric studies and Physical properties of soil samples selected from Chitradurga and Shimoga districts," found a spatial variation with respect to soil physical and chemical properties among the studied samples. This reflects heterogeneity of the soil samples within the study area. With respect to elemental composition Silica (Si) was found to be higher in Samples of Chitradurga district whereas samples of Shimoga district showed higher Oxygen (O) content. Based on the correlation data the electrical conductivity and dielectric properties was found to be a predicator of soil nutrient status. These findings allow developing an alternative approach to determine nutrient status of the soil. Thus it minimises the use of chemical analysis which brings down both cost and time.
