In this book I presenting original research carried during my ph. D. Program. The book contains four chapters. Chapter 3 & 4 are the important. chapter 3 is based on the discussions of experimental techniques used during my research and chapter 4 results based on the experiments on oxide borate-based glasses prepared by our self. The main aim and objective of publishing the work is to provide basic knowledge for the students and researchers about how to carry research work on oxide glasses and selecting and fitting quantum mechanical electrical conductivity theories such as Mott's SPH, QPT, QLPT, CBH and Hunts and BNN theories of dielectric relaxation etc for semiconducting borate based oxide glasses doped with TN and Alkali ions. We tried to explain the anomaly effects in glass science such as single alkali effect and mixed alkali effects in these glasses doped with Li, Na, and CoO ions. For dielectric relaxation processes of the glasses Hunts and BNN theories were applied. The results were good and agreed with many experimental results of similar oxide glasses reported in literature. For the new researchers this book is very helpful.
