Jonathan Black is the pen name of author John J. Smith. He writes under two different names to separate the subject matter of his writing: romance and mainstream as John J. Smith, and paranormal and paranormal romance as Jonathan Black. Black/Smith is a prolific Fiction writer who has won several awards under each name. Several of his novels have been converted or rewritten into screenplays; for which he has also won several awards. He resides in Plano, a suburb of Dallas, Texas.
