Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT) is a quantum interference effect which acts to reduce the usual absorption of light when its frequency is tuned to the resonance frequency of the sample through which the light is propagating. EIT can be achieved by applying two light sources simultaneously and the transparency is created by the second light (Electromagnetic) source tuned to another resonance of the sample.
