Design & development of prototype hardware of marketable product for industrial application has become competitive in today's era of agile manufacturing. R&D endeavours towards indigenous development of mechatronic gadgets have attained due importance globally. Indispensability of customized development of industrial-grade mechatronic products has been widely recognized in recent decade. The developed gadgets have got potential applications in integrated steel plants and other metal industries, where occupational safety is of concern. These mechatronic devices are also useful for various kinds of manufacturing industries, both as safety device and miscellaneous dimensional metrology purpose. The case studies, reported in this book, highlight on the modality of the potential use of the system, which has been found satisfactory and industrially viable. This book is intended for the application engineers, robotics researcher & technocrats who will cherish a desire to implement the theoretical idea and analytical models pertaining to the sensor-instrumented electronic guarding system for robotic / mechatronic application and/or industrial metrology, in the form of a realizable product.
