'Best Book Forever' is a celebration of libraries - showing how lucky we are to have these places to explore and seek out magical stories. We hope to encourage a love of reading from early childhood through our range of Elijah and Crumpet books, with fun illustrations and rhyming text. The repetition of words and sentences will speed up word recognition and build confidence as your young reader transitions to reading by themselves. Elijah and Crumpet Best Book Forever has been created in partnership with Logan City Council Libraries and First 5 Forever. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.
Autorenporträt
Rob plays Crumpet, the puppet monkey, on the 'Elijah and Crumpet' YouTube channel, which he created in 2018 with his son Elijah. With the aim of showing the world how good life with Down syndrome can be, Elijah and Crumpet now have a worldwide following. Their motto is: 'Entertain. Educate. Inspire.' They show that anything is possible with the right motivation, like becoming famous YouTubers, getting on national television and now writing kid's books (their first book, 'Motivate Man', was the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign). Rob studied Literature for Children as a module of his German and Norwegian Joint Honours Degree at Edinburgh University. He then taught English in Japan for a year, before serving as a Royal Marines Officer in the U.K. for 6 years. Rob finally moved to Australia, where he lives with his wife and two children, working for an international business in senior management.
