The aim of this study is to analyze the results of public employment and income policies developed over the last two decades in the municipality of Candói - located in the Midwest region of Paraná, established on January 1, 1993 - through a historical contextualization of its emancipation, economic and social evolution, and the results in terms of employment and income generation. Its relevance lies in the fact that it provides the beginning of contextualized studies on the socio-economic evolution of municipalities that have completed 20 years of existence since their creation, considering the possibility of serving as support for the academic class, in specific studies of this great scenario that is municipal public management.
