The Didactic Manual of Practical Lessons in Embryology and Histology is the result of the work of teachers and students from the Medicine Course at the Faculdade Dinâmica do Vale do Piranga who worked and collaborated in the Morphofunctional Foundations of the Health-Disease Process I subjects. The aim of the manual is to improve undergraduate teaching by providing students with material to use as a practical lesson guide and study guide. The manual consists of twelve practical lesson plans and their respective theoretical and practical revision quizzes, covering the following subjects: gametogenesis, fertilisation, blastulation, gastrulation, neurulation, animal tissues, bone tissue, lymphoid organs, circulatory and renal systems. The practicals in embryology and histology are aimed at the various courses in the areas of biology and health, with the aim of familiarising students with microscopy techniques and recognising biological structures such as cells, tissues and organs. The study of these structures is important and also applies to morphological analyses in the context of pathology and disease diagnosis.
