He remembers the stories of an African tribe that were known for their longevity. Emele goes to Africa for one of his routine checks and tries to find the elusive tribe. Finding them he talks to the leader and will undergo a ritual of herb based potions and black magic. The ritual is interrupted. While he has longevity he has also taken on vampirism. Adjusting to his new night life, Emele keeps running the business and becomes a sort of night stalker to control his terrible thirst/hunger he must satisfy weekly with the blood of humans. Emele leads a solitary life with only the castle caretaker, Rhensfield, as his close friend. Emele's secret is found out by Rhensfield but actions bind them closer than ever. Emele is suspected of being a vigilante and is being watched by an old detective, VanHelsing. Keeping one step ahead of VanHelsing, Emele has given up on romance until he meets a young woman, Constance, and falls for her at first sight, only to discover she is the daughter of the man hell bent on proving what a monster Mr. Emele Draculas is. Emele wants to share his secret with Constance, but her father interrupts and kills Emele. A pregnant Constance flees to America to start a new life. Meanwhile Emele lies slowly healing in his grave. Twenty years later Emele is summoned from his grave. Fearing his beloved Constance is in danger, he frees himself only to find it has been years since he has seen her. So much has changed but Emele vows to regain his wealth and goes on a journey to find his one true love.

Steve Pierce was born in 1960 on an Iowa farm, growing up doing farm chores. He graduated from local Tri-Count High School back in 1978. He loved the farm lifestyle and started farming himself. He married Vicky and they had four children, Danielle, Nicole, Derek and Ashley. When their farm struggled financially, Steve went to work in a factory that made farm equipment. After working there for twenty years he quit to catch back up on his farming operation. Steve had always liked horror movies that had a bit of humor in them and he used to watch the Friday night creature features with his family. He had his own ideas about vampires and even developed some characters in his mind. With the support of his family over his ideas, he wrote his first book. He sold many copies to his family and work friends, who wanted to hear more of the vampire family. With the support of his family and new fans, he wrote two more books in the series and is currently working on book four.
