She's a princess. She's fifteen years old. She has a wardrobe full of pretty dresses and is next in line for the throne. Life should be perfect, right? Not when she longs for adventure, her best friend has been banished from her kingdom, and she is being forced to marry a prince she barely knows. Emerald and the Elf King is a coming of age adventure telling the story of a girl trapped between the restrictions of royal tradition and her belief that she was meant for something greater. Against her parent's wishes, Princess Emerald sets off to fight an evil elf king and save her best friend's kingdom. She's armed only with a bow and arrow-and a fierce desire to prove that a princess can be a hero too. Will Emerald prevail? Or will her ambition cost her everything and everyone she's ever loved?

Autorenporträt
Becky Biggs is a loyal subject to the pen and an adventurous princess at heart. She has been imagining new worlds and fun characters since she could first write. Her Emerald series was inspired by a story she wrote and illustrated for a seventh-grade art class. That book lay buried in a trunk for twenty-some years before it magically captured her imagination again. She recently unleashed the enchanted characters and worlds of Eseland and Medina with the first book in her series, Emerald and the Elf King. When she's not writing, Becky enjoys setting off on international adventures. Her worlds are inspired by her travels around the globe, particularly through the time she spent living in France and Germany. She is married to her own Prince Charming and is the mother of two royally darling children.
