Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh received M.Tech (Chemical Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India and from Indian Institute of Technology; Delhi, India on "Studies on Carbon Nanotubes based Epoxy Composites". After completing M.Tech, he joined CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi as Scientist B in 2004. Presently, he is Senior Principal Scientist and deputy Head in Advanced Carbon Products Section of Advanced Materials and Devices Division and Professor in Academy of Scientific and Industrial Research (AcSIR). Dr. Singh's has more than 18 years of research experience on development of Advanced Carbon Products. His research interest is on large scale synthesis of carbon nanostructures and their advanced nanocomposites for structural applications, anode materials for Li-ion batteries, efficient EMI shielding materials and ballistic materials. He has carried out exhaustive studies on mechanical, electrical and thermal properties of MWCNTs and graphene based polymer composites. Presently he is focusing on establishment of continuous process for the preparation of oriented CNT fiber/yarn and sheets for personal armour applications. Dr. Singh teaches the Masters and Ph.D. students in AcSIR. More than thirty students have done their dissertation work for their M.Tech/M.Sc/B.Tech degree under his supervision/co-supervision. He has also supervised three PhD students and currently eight PhD students are working under him. > 7800 with h-index of 48, i10 index of 99 as per google scholar data). He has also Co-authored one book entitled Carbon Nanomaterials: Synthesis, Structure, Properties and Applications (CRC Press) and contributed 10 chapters in edited books on this work besides 3 patents (Granted) on the process/products developed. He has also successfully completed several National/International projects as PI/Co-PI. The research carried out by him is having practical impact for societal, environmental and strategic sector. He is the recipient of NRDC National Innovation Award - 2018, IEI Young Engineer Award 2017, CSIR-Young Scientist Award 2015 in Engineering Sciences and HEAM Young Scientist Award 2014. He is the Academic Editor of Journal of Nanomaterials. He is the executive member of Indian Carbon Society and Life member of Materials Research Society of India, Life Member of Metrology Society of India, The Society for Polymer Science, India. He was the Senate member of Academy of Innovative and Scientific Research (AcSIR) from 2017-2019. Dr. Kiran M. Subhedar joined as Scientist at CSIR-NPL form 2012 and currently working in Advanced Carbon Products Section of Advanced Materials and Devices Metrology Division, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL). He did his postdoctoral research at Israel Institute of Technology-Technion, Israel from 2009-2012, where he worked on graphene based devices. He has also worked as visiting fellow at TIFR Mumbai form 2007-2009. He received his PhD degree in the area of superconductivity from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India in 2007. His research interests are synthesis, characterization, and application of novel carbon materials and its related product development. His current research activities involve graphene growth by CVD technique and study the involved growth mechanism of the CVD grown graphene. Other research activities includes activated carbon, synthesis of carbon nanotubes yarn from vertically aligned carbon nanotubes grown by CVD technique for different application such as strong and light weight body armor material.
