Liz Kessler hat als Lehrerin und Journalistin gearbeitet und wollte Schriftstellerin werden, seit sie im Alter von neun Jahren ihr erstes Gedicht veröffentlichte. Zehn Jahre lang lebte sie auf einem Hausboot. Inzwischen wohnt sie in einem wunderschönen kleinen Haus in Manchester und gibt Schreibkurse für Autoren.
