This book is meant to give a short insight into the field of coal power plant operation and power management. It is a technical example of what the electricity producing companies are doing to be able to integrate the energy produced by renewable energy sources with the conventional sources. This integration forces coal power plant to be able to adapt its load to the fluctuations in the renewable energy without exceeding emissions limit during the change. This book will explain the basics of coal power plant design, operation modes and load management, and would introduce the proposed control mechanism to avoid overproduction of toxic emissions during this load change. Testing this proposal is done using a simulation model.
