Marjorie Irish Randell is the author of Searching for Friday's Child, a biography, and The Aerie, a novel which recieved the Eric Hoffer Award. She lives in Seal Beach, California. Her new book is a fictionalized biography of her husband's grandmother, Emma Clarke Pratt, based on letters that Emma's husband, a surveyor of the Yukon, wrote her during their life together. The letters were tied together with a red ribbon and saved by Emma long after her husband passed away. Those carefully saved letters were Marjorie's inspiration for this book and are included in the story.
