Autorenporträt
Sheryl Yeager has been creating beautiful artwork for 15 years, often to cope with her difficult reality. As a child she was diagnosed with autism, grew up in a dysfunctional family environment, and was abused. She struggled through her teens and twenties, trying to find her self-worth. That was when she discovered art. In her early thirties, she took art classes and felt art gave her life meaning. After working with many different media, she found pastels appealed to her due to the bright colors.Art has removed much of the emotional pain in Sheryl's life and allows her to cope with everyday stresses. Through art she feels God's beauty in nature. She especially enjoys depicting animals because they are non- judgmental and are not intimidating. Her work often includes vibrant color combinations. Plus, the expressive quality of her work reflects her inner emotions and concerns she has with the real world. This outlet keeps her happy, calm, and gives her a wonderful ability to express herself.
