Emma the MEDEVAC Pilot is an early readers' picture book that shows the love between a father and his daughter and however wide the physical distance, our imagination, memories and love always keep us close. Dad always picked Emma up and spun her around in a circle and they would laugh and laugh until one day, something different happened-she became his co-pilot in a foreign land! Saying goodbye to loved ones is never easy. This is a challenge many Service members face when separated from their children to support America's call. Autorenporträt
Truth be told, initially the author did not set out to write a children's book. Then he became a dad and his whole world view changed. He wanted to be a dad for as long as he can remember. He was ready and excited, but nothing prepared him for how deeply the connection between his children and him would forever impact him as a husband and leader. After graduating from Texas Christian University (TCU) in 2003 (GO FROGS!), M.C. Wingate set out to complete his four year initial commitment with no plans of continuing beyond. 16 years later and counting, he's thankful for the Soldiers with whom he's served, the leaders who saw potential and gave him an opportunity, and the experiences gained through various roles in the military. Through each season, God has been consistently faithful. His beautiful wife, Danielle and him have two children and one due in February of 2020. Outside of the Army, the author's greatest joys are his family, writing, playing music, and traveling.
