Following the significant role of emotion regulation and work engagement in the success of teachers and consequently the success of the educational system, this book intended to provide an insight on these two concepts and their contributions to language teaching. The language teacher's emotion regulation focuses on the strategies that language teachers implement to regulate their emotions. Language teachers' work engagement is broadly defined as their commitment to their work. In this book, theories and empirical research relevant to the theoretical frame work of emotion regulation and work engagement are presented. In each part, the review of the empirical studies done on each variable is presented. Taken together, the implications of the current study can open new perspectives on educational psychology and teacher effectiveness. More significantly, the implications of this study may uncover new prospects for effective teaching, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, which can provoke various emotional demands for both teachers and learners.
