Analysing the school's main objectives and the role it plays in the lives of adolescents during secondary school, this study proposes the need for education in emotions, given that stress and suicide rates are increasingly high in the fifteen to twenty-four age group. To support this work, bibliographical research was carried out with authors who are references in positive psychology, as well as in the field of education, including Maria Montessori, Edgar Morin, Ilona Boniwell and Martin Seligman. A qualitative-quantitative sample survey was also carried out, using a questionnaire applied to secondary school teachers from four Brazilian schools, with the aim of understanding the position and understanding of these educational actors on the subject.
