Older adulthood, a stage where people show changes in their personal social characteristics, have new ways of life, opinions, interests and projects, currently there is a dynamic vision of change, where older adults participate in social, cultural, civic and religious affairs; they are physically and economically active. We do not deny that these changes generate in many people an impact in loss of autonomy, emotional affectation and deterioration of health, so it is essential that all older adults have assets that help them to promote their quality of life, their health and effectively face adversities, develop physical, cognitive, affective, social and emotional competences: Health is a basic and fundamental resource to remain active and safeguard a level of independence in older adulthood, emotional management is a fundamental asset for the physical and mental health of individuals; being a protective factor against stress, emotional maladjustment, violence, impulsiveness, among others.
