Es editora en The Times Literary Supplement y autora del blog 'A Don¿s Life'. Es miembro de la Academia Británica y de la Academia Americana de Artes y Ciencias. Entre sus libros publicados se incluye El triunfo romano (2008); Pompeya (2009), ganador del Premio Wolfson; La herencia viva de los clásicos (2013); SPQR . Una historia de la antigua Roma (2016); Mujeres y poder (2018) y La civilización en la mirada (2019), todos ellos publicados en Crítica. Fue galardonada con el premio Princesa de Asturias de Ciencias Sociales en 2016. Mary Beard is one of the classicists and cultural communicators with the greatest international impact, Professor of Classics at Newnham College, Cambridge. She is an editor at The Times Literary Supplement and author of the blog "A Don's Life". He is a member of the British Academy and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His published books include The Roman Triumph (2008); Pompeii (2009), winner of the Wolfson Prize; The Living Heritage of the Classics (2013); SPQR. A History of Ancient Rome (2016); Women and Power (2018) and Civilization in the Gaze (2019), all of which have been published in Crítica. She was awarded the Princess of Asturias Award for Social Sciences in 2016.
