We live in a competitive world. To sustain in this competition, nation needs to grow fast to leave behind others. World population is increasing. If population growth is increasing economic growth is also increasing, this increment on economic growth put negative pressure on environment. Majority of the countries chose growth as a primary objective, while moving along the growth trajectory, they largely leave behind the environment. Only those countries who have chosen environment along with growth have sustain economic growth. In this book author investigates the evidence of EKC and existence of pollution heaven hypotheses during the 33 year (1985-2018) in India by taking international trade, economic growth, and environmental indicators.
