Only a few multinational organisations started to offer EAP in India. EAP in the Indian workplace is still emerging and the professionals in various organisations appear to be less aware of it. EAP came to India through the multinational organisations with the help of consultancies that offer EAP services across the world. Most of the Indian organizations offering EAP services to their employees by engaging consultancy firms. This book is based on the work done for my PhD thesis. In its introductory part, theoretical background of Employee Assistance Programme was explained. Relevant literature pertaining to the topic and the objectives of study were elaborated in detail. The design adopted for the study and the methodological aspects were discussed. Based on the information collected from the field, outcome of the study was discussed along with the direction for further research.
