With the growing computerization in the health area, large databases are being fed with patient records, complementary exams, health plan data, and data from the use of wearables (smartphones and smartwhatches), becoming necessary to analyze them the use of artificial intelligence and Data Mining techniques, to find consistent patterns, discover relationships between the data, perform classifications, make forecasts, test hypotheses, among others. With this we can help in the decision making in the medical area, aiming the prevention of potential diseases both at the doctor-patient level (precision medicine) and at the public health level.

Adriana Prata es licenciada en Medicina (1999) y en Medicina Veterinaria (1994) por la Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Se especializó en Oftalmología en la UFF (2003). Tiene un Master en Salud Materno-Infantil de la UFF (2020). Trabajó durante 26 años en la Vigilancia Sanitaria de la Ciudad de Río de Janeiro. Actualmente es oftalmóloga pediátrica en el Hospital Memorial Fuad Chidid.
