This study seeks to find out the potential and limitations of the Persons with Disabilities Act 2003 and to suggest a multidimensional package of solutions to the legal and extra-legal handicaps to putting employment rights for the disabled in motion and actualizing them in Kenya.

Elizabeth Kamundia is a doctoral candidate as well as the Disability Rights Project Coordinator at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. Elizabeth has worked on disability rights over the past five years, including as a researcher at the Centre for Disability Law & Policy (NUIGalway)& at the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights.
