O autor frequentou a sua escola primária e secundária em Axum e ingressou na Universidade de Jimma, Collage of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, e completou com o B.Sc. em produção animal em 2007. Reingressou na Universidade de Jimma para prosseguir os seus estudos de pós-graduação em reprodução animal e genética. Trabalha como investigador júnior na TARI.
