This study intents to critically examine that how does Innovative pedagogy allows learners to become active participants in their learning process. The action research project was based on 3 cycles where each cycle was closely monitored by action research team. The findings revealed that the transformation from teacher centred approach to learner centred approach enable students to actively participate in learning, students found autonomy to express their views; later on, with the reflective practices approach they become responsible for their own learning and got empowered. This action research project strongly suggests formative assessment policy to be in placed in order to inspire learners in the learning process from beginning.
