The management of constipation encopresis is lengthy and requires good compliance on the part of the patient and parents. Therapeutic education of the child suffering from constipation encopresis and of his parents is part of the management. It allows the child to be a partner in the management of his or her disease by paying attention to diet and maintaining physical activity. This partnership is essential in the prolonged follow-up of any encopretic child to continue the monitoring of the digestive transit and to manage any recurrence of constipation. The first step corresponds to an educational diagnosis that allows the identification of the patient's needs and expectations. The proposed TVE program is composed of 6 sessions (two individual sessions and 4 group workshops) lasting 45 minutes to one hour each, with one session per week. The choice of session type varies according to the patient's learning priorities. At the end of the program, evaluation and self-assessment forms are filled out.
