Encounters with Life is a series of vignettes by me, Vince Corozine, that present a tongue-in-cheek and often humorous look at contemporary culture. With so little to make us smile or laugh, this book will lift your spirits and make your day! Encounters with Life includes observations about the outlandish behavior of people I've met, whether it be at the mall during my daily walk; my travel experiences around the world; time in the U.S. Army; my many years as a musician, music teacher, and bandleader; and my days obtaining an education. The book has no plot, rising action, conflict, or climax. Ah, but it has characters (including yours truly). Encounters with Life is a probing look at how times have changed in my more than 70 years on Earth and why people do such strange things...like walking clockwise around the mall. The planets in our solar system revolve around the sun counterclockwise, and the sun rotates in the same motion. Motors, car tires, hurricanes, and CDs rotate this way too. Why? The water in my bathtub revolves counterclockwise when draining. I want my life to be coordinated with the Earth and my bathtub. Don't you? But I digress. If you're looking for a little inspiration or motivation and a good laugh, then pick up a copy of Encounters with Life!
