In Emdaria City, where the technology exists that allows you to enter someone else's mind via a MindLink machine, eighth-grader Syah Walker is an aspiring peer counselor for her fellow students--but when she discovers that her best friend is being bullied and, without permission, tries to help by mindlinking with the bully, she finds herself trapped in an enemy mind, over-matched, and in serious trouble.

Gina Kammer never grew out of Narnia and Middle-earth. Instead, she went on to study their medieval source texts, mythology, theater, and other literature at Bethany Lutheran College, Richmond University in London, and finally the University of South Dakota for her M.A. degree. Now she's an author, editor, and book coach specializing in science fiction and fantasy. She also occasionally teaches writing courses. Her other interests include tea, traveling, oil painting, archery, and snuggling her grumpy bunny. She lives among piles of books in Minnesota with her husband, daughter, and menagerie of critters.
