The energy audit of a dairy plant consists of a technical and energetic diagnosis of the milk production unit and its derivatives, i.e. all the utilities equipment as well as the manufacturing process such as: chilled water and glycol water groups, steam boilers, air compressors, skimmers, pasteurizers, sterilizers, packaging machines...etc. And this in order to calculate the energy balances, define the specific consumption per liter of milk and then identify the potential energy savings and define the actions to be taken by the establishment to improve its energy performance.
