This book was an exploratory text which relied on the case study analysis of three incinerators in Hampshire and multiple waste sector actors to better understand the grounding for incineration as the means of energy derived from waste in Hampshire. Findings pointed out that there are elements of inefficiencies in the technology, constraints in the policy of waste management in Hampshire and large resistance to prescience of incineration in the UK. While when comparing Hampshire's waste management to that demanded by the EU directives there were clear shortcomings of the progress in the counting calling into question the whole waste management process and infrastructure. Further research needs to be conducted into cross technological processes and commercial methodologies to waste management.
