In rural and urban areas where alternative fuels were available, shift away from domestic wood fuel use were not taking place on a very large scale. The urban dwellers who normally use kerosene and gas were now systematically shifting to using charcoals and fuel wood. If energy situation should continue this way, economic growth and human development will continually be hampered. Therefore, there is a need for households to shift from non-green energy to green energy sources for their domestic energy use. The latter is a natural endowment that could be harnessed. This book recommends that, there should be awareness, affordable prices of various energy types, advancement in technology, maintenance practices and revitalization of energy projects in the rural and urban areas.
