The work collected in this volume arose from a special course in the Bachelor of Education program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. Originally titled Engaging Aboriginal Perspectives in Education, the course is designed to demonstrate to teachers in training the significance of Aboriginal ways of seeing, knowing, and being and what they have to offer pedagogical practices.
