Kavati Venkateswarlu is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, India. He earned a BTech in mechanical engineering and an MTech in thermal engineering at JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad, and a PhD in mechanical engineering (IC engines) at JNTU Kakinada. His research interests include fuel efficiency and emissions improvement of diesel engines, simulation of fuel spray and combustion with the effect of turbulence and multiple injections, and CRDI and HCCI engines. He has four years of industrial experience and 19 years of teaching and research experience. Dr. Venkateswarlu has published 20 papers in national and international journals and conferences of repute. He has guided 12 MTech theses. He has authored the textbook Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicle Technologies. He is a Fellow, Institution of Engineers India (FIE) and Life Member, Combustion Institute Indian Section. Dr. Venkateswarlu is the Editorial Board member and Associate Editor of SAE International Journal of Engines. He is a technical reviewer for the journals SAE International Journal of Engines, Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, Institution of Engineers, and African Journal of Agricultural Research.
