The present content consists of the following headings:1) Projet de revisitation et actualisation du programme scolaire d'anglais 2) Responding to the challenge of designing English as a Foreign Language Teachin (EFLT) Curricula and textbooks in the DR Congo Today 3) Subject characteristics, 4) Views of curriculum design2. As indicated below, the present proposal of EFLT curricululum is designed in the light of Congolese teachers and textbooks writers' context-based textbooks ttled Enjoy English (2015, 2019, 2022). Investigations confirm that the existing EFLT curriculum in use in the DRC schools was first designed in 1971 by the Belgian EFLT inspector René Box on the basis of English for Africa textbooks series. It was revised in 1974, 1978 and 1988 respectively. In her letter N° MINEPSP/PMD/840/84/216//2012 dated 22 October 2012 to Rev. Mualaba, the former director of the direction of national curricula and teaching tools) wrote that they intend to revise and update the existing curriculum.The present is our contribution.

Jonas Mualaba Citala was born in Kabeya-Kamuanga in Kasaï Oriental in DR Congo. With a degree in applied pedagogy, option: English (National Pedagogical Institute, 1989) and in theology, option: Christian ethics (Protestant University in Congo, 2012), Jonas obtained his master's degree in ethics at the Faculty of Theology of North West University, RSA.
