Three ligninperoxidase producing fungal strains Penicillium citrinum, Fusarium oxysporum and Aspergillus terreus have been isolated and identified. The enzymatic characterisatics like Km, pH and temperature optima of the ligninperoxidase produced by the above fungal strains have been determined. A new substrate n-propanol has been developed for assaying the liginnperoxidase activity.
