The very existence of millions of child labor in India today is a strong reminder of the fact that a tremendous effort has to be made in order to overcome the practice of employment of children. To enable the youth, particularly the student of social work, to carry out effective advocacy and action for prevention of child labor it is necessary to enhance their understanding & knowledge on this issue. It is in this backdrop that the present training programme for the students of social work has been conducted. The OBJECTIVE of the book is to develop motivation & commitment among the participants & to work out strategies for progressive elimination of child labor in respective localities.

I have done Graduation and Master of social work from Aligarh Muslim University followed by M.Phil. in Psychiatry social work from Ranchi. I also have 3 years of experience working as a research officer at National Institute of health and family Welfare in Reproductive child health project. Now I am enrolled as Ph.D. scholar in JMI, India.
