The purpose of this study was to establish mlearning infrastructure and resources available at the Midlands State University, determine the level of mobile learning activities at Midlands State University, identify challenges faced by Midlands State University as they implement mobile learning in teaching and learning and to come up with recommendations that are possible solutions to the challenges faced by MSU in implementing mobile learning. The participants of this research were Midlands State University lecturers, students, the ITS director and the Deputy Librarian. The research adopted the descriptive research method and the triangulation methodology to draw conclusions from the data collected. Random sampling was used to select the respondents to the questionnaires. Tools for data collection included a questionnaire (with both open ended questions and closed questions) targeted to the lecturers and the students at MSU as well as interviews with the ITS director and the Deputy Librarian.

I am a man aged 31 and my research and teaching interests are in the field of artificial intelligence, IT Goverance & Mobile Technologies. I was awarded my Master of Science by the Computer Science and Information Systems department at Midlands State University. Currently am studying towards a PhD in Information Systems and Technology with UKZN.
